Any packet trace, including the entire contents of the Low Level and Conversations views, can be saved for future use.

To save a packet trace, open the File menu and select Save Packet Trace....

To open a saved a packet trace, open the File menu and select Open....

Packet traces are saved in the PCAP format which is a widely-used industry standard, meaning you can send and receive packet traces with confidence. If you load a packet trace produced with a different packet sniffer, you will still be able to use all of LayerView's features including packet filtering and the low level and conversation views.
